Comments: Shooting stars have always been meaningful in my life. Also I love nautical stars. But I wanted an original design and not exactly like everyone elses. So my I talked to my friend who is a fantastic artist and gave him a few ideas of what i wanted. I knew that I wanted 3 stars involved and have at least one nautical star and have swirls in it. He took my favorite things out of each picture example and created the tattoo that I have now and it turned out way better than expected. I love it and now I'm planning on getting a few more tattoos. |

Comments: I started designing this tattoo when I was 14, and finally got it done when I was 18. It's a Celtic cross that I call the "trinity cross" because every part of that symbolizes the triune God: cross form for the Son, Jesus Christ, circle behind the cross for the Eternal Father, and a ring of radiating flames for the Holy Spirit. There are trinity knots on each arm of the cross to emphasize the symbolism, and a heart in the center because God is Love. The heart is red to represent the blood of Christ, the ultimate sacrifice for love.
I got this tattoo as a reminder that I belong to a God that exists in perfect community, and that I am supposed to practice that sort of community and love. |
