Don't have this one yet as it's not strictly about tattooing (and I am strictly about tattooing).

Although not overly abundant with tattoos, the point of the book is to show how people are customizing the look of their bodies with everythign at their disposal. Probably of more interest to the modern primitive movement.

Again, haven't made time yet for this one as it deals with more than tattoos. Looks like Katzen on the cover though.

Don't have this one yet but Gatewood has made quite a career publishing his photos of suicide girls and bodies of all types.

This is undeniably the all-time classic on body modification. This is a must-have for any half-way serious student of the body arts.

I know I need to get this but I also know it's going to be an academic read with not much about tattoos.

This is strictly an introduction to topics that could each be their own separate books. If you're just beginning to investigate body art, you might be interested.
